Marine pollution is a global environmental concern and is usually high on top of the priority list. To celebrate World Environment Day, and acknowledge the need to protect the planet, Exalto Emirates sheds some light on the effects chemicals have contributed to polluting the life of watery habitats

World Environment Day UAE

Pollution is the introduction of man- made products to the natural environment. Some common man-made pollutants that contribute to disrupting the marine life are pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, detergents, oil, industrial chemicals, and sewage.

Overall, 70 percent of the Earth is covered by water and marine pollution, as distinct from overall water pollution, focuses on human-created products that enter the ocean causing a damage to the marine life and producing substances that harm the the aquatic life and humans as well.

In view of that, one of the largest marine equipment suppliers in the Middle East, Exalto Emirates is a distributor of organic products and takes part in joining others in the corporate world in combating for the protection of our planet.

John Paul, General Manager of Exalto Emirates emphasized, “Although the COVID-19 is causing havoc with the human population and affecting badly the global economy it seems that Mother Earth is reaping the benefits. Everywhere we read about cleaner skies and cleaner seas. No matter what happens with the virus in the future let’s keep the gains made for the environment and focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.”

Gone are the days when ‘green’ or ‘eco’ products were inferior in performance. We are proud to distribute Eco-friendly products from companies such as British Ecoworks Marine and Australian Organic Coolants (AOC).

Eco-efficient alternatives for better environment

Exalto Emirates promotes boat cleaning products that are non-toxic and friendly to the environment. Products that are made from naturally derived ingredients and renewable and sustainably sourced raw materials. They are formulated for the lowest possible toxicity and the ultimate biodegradability.

“As we look forward to technological evolution in striking a balance between the environment, global commerce and industry, we recognize its corporate environmental responsibility to reduce pollution. As such, we partner with, promote and distribute products that significantly make a difference to the aquatic life,” adds Paul.

What does WED mean for Exalto Emirates?

Protecting the environment from pollution should be every one’s key responsibility. The world should also encourage industries to use substances in a controlled manner and to substitute hazardous substances with less harmful ones. It is a top priority for responsible chemical-use through consumer actions that can protect the environment for the future. These new, more environmentally-friendly initiatives, are being implemented by companies that want to reduce their impact on nature.

The first World Environment Day was held on June 5, 1974, to raise awareness about environmental issues and as the future of the planet rests in our hands. Exalto Emirates drives positive change across the marine industry and helps to save the planet for the future generations.
